Dear Cypress Chase D Owners, Board Members, and Staff:
FastStream Networks will be installing our high speed fiber optic Internet in your individual condo units starting
on Monday, September 22, 2025. We will be starting in Building 7 on the 4th floor with unit 401 and progressing
to unit 402, 403, etc.
Our general working hours will be 8:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday.
Installation of the inside of your units consists of installing fiber optic cable and equipment. There will be two
small white boxes (ONT – Optical Network Terminal and a customer fiber termination box) approximately 3.5in
x 3.5in in dimension. They will typically be mounted to the wall a few inches above the baseboard. The WIFI
router is then connected to the ONT and is freestanding. The WIFI router and the ONT will each require one
working power outlet. Your Internet will not be working until we run our fiber optic distribution cables
throughout the building. Our technicians will leave the power cables to the ONT and router unplugged. Once
you receive notice that the Internet is live, you will need to plug the router and ONT into working power outlets.
Our entry point will be from the catwalks. In most units, our equipment will be installed in the bedroom facing
the catwalk. For units that don’t have a bedroom facing the catwalk, our equipment will be installed in the living
room.
Being a building wide installation, it is not feasible to set th exact day or time for each installation. It is very
important that we have access to your unit. If you are not going to be home, please arrange with management to
allow access or have a family member or friend available to answer the door and let the technicians inside to
complete the installation.
